Last Christmas a pair of Snowmingos joined our family. We waited until today to release them into the wild, because the woods were so muddy.

But today is a beautiful day, and we were raring to go. Unfortunately, Allison's bird lost a leg. So we searched and we searched until we found it.

The Snowmingos
I performed leg reattachment surgery, using the most modern flamingo-surgical tools, and all went well. The bird was back on its feet in no time.
Surgery Success
Over the bridge... Now the long journey to the Flamingo Colony began. First we crossed the raging stream... The birds were very well behaved as they traversed across the water.
Trecking Trecking
We treked and treked, finally seeing a smudge of pink in the distance, and at last we were there! Trecking
